Networking

Most people don’t network, which is a shame, because it can help speed up finding a new job. (By networking, I mean creating a wide-flung group of people who know you and your capabilities and who can provide valuable information as well as job leads.) The reason for not networking is because they don’t know how, get scared because it means meeting with new people, or do it wrong and “burn up” a potential network so people don’t return their calls. I coach/teach people how to network easily, without cold-calling or being pushy, and it builds a valuable lifetime resource for my clients.
